Enforcement Division

The Enforcement Division encompasses all law enforcement and communications personnel. This division is responsible for responding to calls for service, investigating criminal activity, maintaining a visible law enforcement presence throughout the county, and supporting proactive crime reduction efforts. Deputies work collaboratively to protect life and property, preserve the peace, and enforce the laws of the State of Alabama.

Within the division are uniformed patrol operations, the Community Action Team (CAT) focused on targeted enforcement and quality-of-life issues such as litter and illegal dumping, the Detective Bureau handling complex and long-term investigations, School Resource Officers assigned to every county school campus, K-9 teams, crime analysts, and personnel assigned to specialized task forces. The Communications Bureau serves as the first point of contact for the public, dispatching deputies and coordinating emergency response. Together, these components operate as an integrated system designed to prevent crime, respond rapidly to critical incidents, and provide professional law enforcement services across Calhoun County.
