Communications Bureau
The Communications Division is the central hub of the Sheriff’s Office. Communications Officers assigned to this division are often the first contact with members of the public. They receive calls from 911 and directly from the public. They coordinate responses to calls and collect information for deputies in the field as well as maintain a log of all radio traffic, requests for service, enter data in sensitive criminal justice computer systems, make inquiries for stolen property, wanted persons, and perform data entry functions in various systems.
