Corrections Division
The Corrections Division is responsible for the operation of the Calhoun County Jail and the custody, security, and care of all individuals housed in the facility, whether sentenced or awaiting trial. The Division maintains legal custody of every person booked into the county jail during the time they remain in the facility.
In addition to maintaining security and order, the Corrections Division manages inmate records and tracks the status and location of each individual in custody. These responsibilities require accuracy, professionalism, and strict adherence to both state and federal law, as well as established best practices.
Corrections Officers play a critical role in the criminal justice system. Their duties extend beyond supervision to include maintaining a safe environment for inmates, staff, and visitors. Under the leadership of experienced supervisors, the jail is operated with a focus on safety, accountability, and professional standards.
