Inmate Mail
All inmates housed at the jail can receive mail through the United States Postal Service. All mail should be of regular letter size. Oversized envelopes, packages of any kind, and peel-and-stick stamps are not allowed. Envelopes are to be pre-posted and must be white in color. An inmate may also send outgoing mail to family and friends. Outgoing mail will be stamped “Calhoun County Jail”. All incoming and outgoing mail is subject to search.
Inmate mail is scanned in and delivered to the inmate electronically for facility security. Attempting to mail contraband to an inmate is a crime. Violators are investigated and prosecuted.
Inmates may receive books via mail only if they are purchased directly from Barnes and Noble and delivered directly to the jail. Books that are shipped elsewhere first will not be accepted.
