Patrol Bureau

The Patrol Bureau provides primary law enforcement services for the unincorporated areas of Calhoun County, as well as the municipality of Hobson City. Deputies respond to calls for service, patrol neighborhoods, schools, and businesses, and work to protect life and property, preserve the peace, and enforce Alabama law.

Through proactive patrol, traffic enforcement, and community engagement, deputies focus on preventing crime while remaining prepared to respond quickly to emergencies and assist other bureaus when needed.

The Patrol Bureau also includes the Community Action Team (CAT). This specialized squad conducts intelligence-driven enforcement and targeted operations aimed at addressing crime trends, ongoing community concerns and quality of life issues. The CAT Team places particular emphasis on litter and illegal dumping enforcement and investigations, working to identify violators, hold offenders accountable, and protect the quality of life in Calhoun County.
